The previous two movies in the rebooted Star Trek franchise were filmed at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, so the change of locale is most likely due to the hefty tax incentives offered in British Columbia (which have made Vancouver a popular destination for both film and TV productions). It makes sense that Paramount would try to rein in the budget of Star Trek 3 where possible; anything that cuts down the costs of such an effects-heavy movie is no doubt an attractive prosp


Star Trek Into Darkness was a somewhat polarizing film when it was released in 2013. It was the sequel to a very refreshing and inventive Star Trek reboot from 2009, so expectations were on an all-time high for the follow up. Unfortunately, director J.J. Abrams and screenwriters Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof just delivered the same thing from the reboot, only goofier and with more references to other Star Trek mov


Film Divider 's sources also indicate that the new villain will be a male character and that the studio is looking for a Bryan Cranston-esque actor to play him. In fact, Cranston himself has apparently " had words " about taking the role, but what those words were and which direction they took remains a mystery for now. If Cranston does get the role then hopefully he'll get a bit more screen time than he was given in Godzil

On the other hand, we've also long heard that Lawrence Kasdan - screenwriter of The Empire Strikes Back and co-writer on The Force Awakens - is the one penning the Boba Fett movie ; meaning, Edwards' spinoff (as written by Whitta) could well revolve around the operation to steal the original Death Star's plans, but it might not involve Jango Fett's "son"/clone (or any bounty hunters for that matt

There are still far too many unknown variables to say with any certainty that this rumored storyline for Edwards' Star Wars spinoff is or is not accurate, though. We still don't know who the majority of the Force Awakens cast are playing in this film universe (the Star Wars OT cast members aside) and even if one of the spinoffs does indeed revolve around a mission to steal the Death Star plans, there's no guarantee it'll be the first one released in theat


It's good and quite funny to see J.J. Abrams admit he has a problem when it comes to lens flares. It's also refreshing to see that he has a sense of humor about it too. But fans will react negatively to The Force Awakens if there are a lot of lens flares throughout its running time. In fact, if you watch any of The Force Awakens marketing materials, such as trailers or TV spots , you can plainly see there will be at least some lens flares featured in the new Star Wars . Hopefully, they're not too distracting to enjoy The Force Awakens , but you know someone out there is going to count each and every one while watching the mo
